Diamonds are forever

I got my vintage Movado Museum watch in the mail today. It has a 14K gold bezel with 6 tiny diamonds marking 12 o'clock. Perfection. The time was even set right when I opened the box.

Yes, it has been a while but I have been inspired by a friend Tom and have decided to do a-photo-a-day project starting with today, 12/1/09.

Small story to accompany photo will follow:

So I was going to Woodfield to return these shoes:

I went in, looked around, found a sweet black sequin one-shoulder dress (New years?) and while trying it on I used those shoes as a prop, and ended up falling in love with them again. I don't know why I was returning them in the first place. And no, the dress didn't fit. I hate when smalls are too big.
But this is what I was getting to, I got an awesome parking spot!

Whoops.

Yeah definitely forgot to post last night. I had a lot going on yesterday!

I got the internship with the magazine, seems like it'll be a lot of fun and that I could help them a bit with their designs. I don't feel too intimidated!

The Apple interview didn't go as well. This is my second time interviewing with them and I just feel like I can't spit out the right answers for them. I guess it's okay though seeing as I will have a lot on my hands with this internship.

I really am having the hardest time finding the right shade of green nail polish. Really.

I watched "What Happens in Vegas" tonight. GREAT movie.

Interview marathon

So not only do I have an interview at Apple tomorrow, but I also have an interview for an internship at a beauty pageant magazine called Tiara. This sounds like fun!

I got a phone interview today out of the blue and I am very excited about this. Wish me luck.

Now I just don't know what I would do if I got both positions! I guess I could try and make them all work together. It is only an internship and thus possibly temporary...

Then today at work we took to much tuna sashimi out of the freezer so we all got free sash at the end of the night! What a day!

Mission Fialed

Okay so I did not find the perfect shade of green, but I have my bestest hair stylist Jeni ordering it for me. I guess it was discontinued or something.

While on my hunt I picked up some other things, like this sweet studded bracelet and this great military jacket from H&M that I have been hunting for since July!

I also found out today that I have an interview with Apple on Wednesday, very excited!

Damn you Rachel Zoe

Yeah I caved and bought a furry vest at Forever 21. I also bought black nail polish. I can't wait to go to Ulta and buy Go On Green! It's just like Chanel's Jade except cheaper...yes.

Purple Velour Tracksuits

So I have also decided to do a 2nd Pam look for Halloween in addition to the more dressed up Pam.

I only hope to be as scary as she is. I need to nail the accent...also anyone going to be Eric Northman in the Chicagoland area?

I was supposed to be in Rockford at 6am tomorrow, but I decided not to, smart huh?

I'm 23 again

I just got home, it's 5am. I had a great night out with some friends, hasn't happened in a while. I should sleep. Good morning.

Chanel suit brought to you by the GAP.

No I'm not talking about Sweetest Day, I love Halloween. I have been scouring the internets for the perfect Pam from True Blood outfit. I didn't know if I wanted to do the Chanel suit or the Juicy Couture tracksuit. I bought a pink tweed dress suit on eBay and I am going to style it up, and of course wear fangs. I was inspired by this month's Harper's Bazaar. What do we think?

I think it would be a lot of fun, and only True Blood fans would get it, which is how I usually like it to be, uncommon and great for those who understand. Fine fishnets, pearls, no shirt, perfect.

I will probably also buy the JC tracksuit and maybe wear it for night two of the festivities. I love Halloween!

Just plain ignorant.

I picked one of these magazines up at an intersection today. How does this guy have the time to stand at intersections and claim Obama is the new Hitler? Stop bitching that the economy sucks and get a real job. It is beyond me, but I plan on giving a literary analysis once I read it. I bet it will be very enlightening. NOT.

SOS new place of existance needed.

I really don't think I can live here much longer. The mess that was made on the table yesterday morning still has not been cleaned up. It is beyond me that one would not clean the urine off the table after two days.

I need to remove myself from this house.

On a brighter note, I am ending one of my jobs this Friday, so now maybe I will have some time for myself to find a real job. Yes, having this promotion end early is a good thing.

This was the highlight of my day today. Her name is Shilo and she is a future therapy dog.

But really, anyone need a room mate?

Nothing is open.

How am I supposed to do my job if nothing is open?

How am I supposed to eat when a cat urinates on the dining table?

How am I supposed to blog if I am so sleepy?

Goodnight.

My worst nightmare.

The minute I graduated I got booted off my mother's health insurance. Starting in August I have been having some random abdominal pains, mainly in the area of my appendix. Getting appendicitis is probably my worst nightmare. I can't even go to the doctor about it. Sigh.

These are the animals that make everyday hell. The fur, the allergies, the urine, the feces, the vomit and the hairballs. They may look cute, but don't let it fool you. It also must be the end of the world because they were actually sleeping on the same couch today.

SOS Anywhere but here.

The first thing I did this morning was step in cat urine, does that sound normal to you? My dad's girlfriend seems to think that it is. I would really like to get out of my home, like tomorrow.

Since I moved back home in July, I have been looking up apartments and rooms for rent, all way beyond my price range. How is a studio in the northwest suburbs just as much as one in the city? Then I decided I could make some money off my rental and get a larger live/work loft space and have people host parties and art openings, or photographers could use the space as a studio. I would be making so much money my rent would be paid for me. Then I landed back on planet E and decided a quest like that could ruin me, especially since I still have $30,000 in student loans waiting to be paid back. Other plans?

No, not as of now (mainly because no one would give me a loan in my situation), I am pretty hopeless and and contemplating selling as much stuff as I can to afford a month of rent. Maybe a motel would be cheaper?

Scratch that.

I was very close to having a day off, but instead I am working. Maybe next weekend.

I was also very close to seeing Paramore at the House of Blues tomorrow, but that also did not happen thanks to my job. I don't even want to get into it, it makes me angry.

Besides that it rained all day and the highlight of my day was getting a free cup of Starbucks because they messed my first order up. I guess that is a plus.

Due to the amount of disappointments today I am going to watch this awful Russian soap opera (dubbed in Polish) with one ear and hope for a better day.

Be Tech, Be 2010.

This Sunday might be my first day off in a month. What am I probably going to do that day? I'll probably be teaching myself ActionScript 3.0 and reading WIRED magazine. I might even switch to learning C programming for Mac if I get tired of Flash. Even though I am out of school I still feel the need to learn new things everyday, especially things that I wasn't taught in my Flash class at DePaul, like ActionScript 3.0.

I might also be researching how to care for seahorses, because I am desperate to have some of my own after being bedazzled by a tank full of them at the Adventure Aquarium today. I was just in to buy some crickets and suddenly I was about to buy at least three $74.99 seahorses. I could have watched them forever, they are really fascinating creatures.

How beautiful would that look in my room?! Plus they would all get the best names ever. I wonder how you even tell their sex, but what I do know is that they do not have stomachs, so they need to be fed three times a day, shrimp preferably.

Also, while talking about seahorses, the sales associate proceeded to give me a tour of the saltwater section where I learned that clown fish (Nemo) are all born male, and once they pair up and find a mate, one will grow much larger than the other and become a female! So basically all clown fish are born gay and they pair up and one assumes the female role in the relationship. See, it's natural!!

O'Have you seen McQueen?

I like going to O'Hare, especially when I'm picking up my father who has been gone for over three months. What I do not like is missing the hour parking limit by 4 minutes and having to pay $4.00 extra.

I got haunted via email today, it really is more than a coincidence as you will notice.

Having my father home is great, I just hate to tell him that a large branch fell last night and broke his headlight on his van and that the pool pump has probably had enough and might never turn on again. Oh and weird orange-red ooze is leaking out of one of the vents upstairs...

Even after all that, the highlight of my day was seeing Alexander McQueen's 2010 fashion show. Who knew you could wear crustacean claws as shoes?

Thank you www.fashionologie.com.

You really just have to see for yourself, he never fails to make me drool over his pieces, no matter how out of this world they are.

1401 - The creation of a blog

Everyone needs three things in life, a facebook, a twitter and a blog. So I am bringing my life full circle and finally creating a blog. The name comes from a series of numbers that haunt me (1401). I will document the hauntings as they come, but first I will show an example.

Besides that I will post about things I like, that's what a blog is, right?
